Darebin Creek,
Medium Format 6x9 Negatives Scanned, 2020
Mirroring the contemporary landscape through fogged glass, this series depicts a multi-sensory archive of suburban Melbourne’s Darebin Creek and what accumulates at the waterways edge.
This documentary project was undertaken over Melbourne's COVID-19 Lockdown in 2020. Over 6 months I would walk along the Darebin Creek, simultaniously archiving and clearing what waste I could along the prolific Naarm waterway. This cyclical process based project grapples with the complexity of how we address occupation and mass consumption in colonial so-called Australia.l
